True. Electing Pope's is historic in the sense there are so few.
But in the sense I witness history in the moment as a non Catholic, I am struck by the witness to Christianity being made by its foe- the MSM.
I personally am taking great enjoyment in the fact that the MSM is overcome by the power of Christianity world wide. As a Christian it thrills me to witness this rare moment when the secular Left is reduced to nothing. When illusions of Power are stripped away and they are forced to confront that Christianity is not dead despite their persecutions. That is infact more powerful than they will ever be.
But I note the persecution of Christians of all denominations will receive a backlash as they react with fury to this realization. In our own country they are already angered about TPOTC and G.W.'s election, not to mention the temerity we might correct the Judicial system. This is going to further drive them to insanity.
"I am struck by the witness to Christianity being made by its foe- the MSM."
That has struck you also? Isn't it amazing - one of the great enemies of Christianity broadcasting the message of the Gospel? They can't get away with cutting it out - those silly Catholics WILL keep talking about Jesus and the good news of salvation in His name.
I don't happen to be Catholic - but I have been taking joy in the name of Christ and the blessings of the gospel being held up on the national media!
An excellent post.
This is just what I thought, too. I was holding my breath, and praying for a conservative Pope. And I cried and I laughed and I whooped! when I heard that is what we got. And I speak as a non Catholic, but a member, along with all the Catholics, of the Christian Church, the Body of Christ. This is a victory over evil and the forces that would take apart Christianity, which can only *be* conservative in the true sense of the word, not the political sense. Thank God!
