I have a very hard time with all of us so glad the rules are strict now that they don't apply to us anymore.

Which "rules" do you think "no longer apply"?

Those of us NOT in the "unitarian universalist church of whatever I feel like" live by the "rules" because we delight in God, and desire to obey Him. Our obedience is a result of our love, and our trust in the One who gave us those guidelines.

God's commands aren't arbitrary -- they're meant to protect us.

I agree! But I did not always live by them and I certainly sin enough now. Anger, pride and judgmental thoughts lead the list before sex these days. The benefits of marriage!
