"However, in the 1820 printed version of Malachy's prophesies, Lignum Vitre (written in 1559 by a Benedictine historian, Arnold Wyon), a 112th pope appears that was not in Malachy's original manuscript. The 112th pope was added by the Olivetan monks. The Order of St. Benedict claims this final pope will come within the Benedictine Order, and that he was placed in the secession line because St. Benedict himself prophesied that before the end of the world, his Order will triumphantly lead the Catholic Church in its battle against evil (the Battle of Armageddon)."

"Many interpret this as meaning that he will be a Benedictine; their order is sometimes called the Olivetians."

Link 2

Pope Benedict, the 112th pope since Celestine II. As prophesized, the connection to the Olivetans, even if only in the name chosen.

Gird thy loins, it's evil-smitin' time!

Ok, Malacy said there'd be 111 more popes. The Benedictines added another so it would bring true St. Benedictine's prophesy their order would fight the end battle. So, Benedict XVI could fulfill both being "glory of the olives" (of the Benedictine order) as well as Malacy's 111th and last pope. Wasn't there something about 2012 being the end of the world? Wasn't the battle supposed to last 7 years... 2005 + 7 = 2012. YIKES!!!
