It's white...it's black...it's white...it's black...it's white...it's black...it's white...it's black...it's white...it's black...it's white...it's black...it's white...it's black...

This happens every time. Have patience, folks.

A little humor, it's like catholic church services

Actually, though, doesn't black smoke indicate a rich mixture?

And blue smoke is a burning oil condition.

White of course indicates coolant in the combustion chamber, especially if accompanied by sweet exhaust.

I had such great respect for PJPII.

Me too. I can't make any guesses on who the next will be.

My kids have unilaterally cancelled school (and they're not washing the lunch dishes, either!) while I wait to hear who's the Pope. If I'd known they'd make a decision today, I'd have asked TaxRelief to invite us over to watch it on TV!

That's my gut. I could be happy with that. Though it's not up to me--I have to keep reminding myself!

Watching these joyous pics...sadly, I had the flash thought that this scene is a security nightmare. I hope the Italians are up to the job..

When the new pope does appear on the balcony, I'd love to see a photoshop with Jesse Jackson and maybe Zelig standing in the background.

***

Look, the Pope is hitting him with a copy of the papal decree.

One of my favorite Woody Allen movies...well, before he showed himself to be a pervert.
