This bill is not about renting or selling "edited" DVD's.
This bill about a type of DVD player called ClearPlay (and others} that merely skips over video or blanks audio on parts deemed objectionable, just as if you fastforwarded the video, or muted the audion on parts you don't want to see. This is based on a 'script' furnished by the ClearPlay people.
It does NOT edit the DVD or movie.
Sure we do. The pharmacist can weaken the prescription, divide it up, place it in easier to swallow gel caps. Add flavoring to it. The pharmacist can do all kinds of things with prescriptions.
So if consumers want to pay a company to edit out scenes that are objectionable to the marjority of the people, why wouldn't we let them?
Actually comparing Hollywood agenda pushing to a "prescription" is probably why the left is up in arms about this.
They want America to swallow their "prescription". Only one thing, America didn't choose them as doctors and is looking for alternatives.
