THE KORAN FORBIDS A MUSLIM FROM TAKING A CHRISTIAN OR A JEW AS A FRIEND.

I dated a Muslim girl once. Her dad loved me. I'm Christian and white American as all get out.

He's a business man and makes a great deal of money in our capitalist society.

I had another muslim friend who still enjoys talking to my friends and I on every occasion. We poke fun at him because he has to shave twice a day to keep with work code.

The Torah forbids Jews from becoming a part of another society (God's Pact with Moses) yet I do believe there are plenty of faithful Jews who will still make it to Heaven if they play their cards right.

And what do you know? They are a part of our community.

you amy be right, the Koran may forbid it. But who is going to enforce such a silly law, if none of the followers care for it?

Then where is your beef? If they aren't Arabs, then the Koran doesn't apply to them as a bloodline. They are exempted, and it is permissable for "true arabs" to slaughter them and enslave them. Even after conversion.

"My point is that Islam is a grave threat to human civilization in general."

You will be pleased to know I too have read, studied, and pondered Islamic verse. You do understand that alot of the material you use to justify your opinions comes from Hadith, which is not part of Al-Quran, but a collection of the sayings and deeds of the Prophet Muhammad as related after his death by individuals who claim to have known him. I'm not saying you cannot find verse in Al-Quran that may incite violence against "The Enemies of God", just that one should understand the context.
I don't think all Jews should be stigmatized for Abraham's willingness to "sacrifice" (murder) his son Issac (Ishmael if your an Arab). After all, wasn't Abraham just showing his obedience to God's commandment just as a Muslim may believe he/she is doing so as well, as best as they can understand it? Christian traditions dictate one must be meek to inherit the earth and "Turn the other cheek", but their great leader Jesus drove the money changers out of the temple with a whip. In regards to Hadith, I personally don't trust anything with such a human fingerprint. But I do realize many militants and their Mullahs pour over such verse in an attempt to appeal to whatever shred of authority they can find to justify their depredations, which are politically motivated rather than religious. Islam is NOT a threat to world civilization as you say. The people that use Islam to further their political ambitions are.

If Persians aren't Arabs, are they Muslims? Do they believe in Islam? And again, who are the mullahs who've been ruling Iran for the past 25+ years?

You mean to tell me... that Muslims have thoughts outside of the Koran... and they are unjust?

Does this also mean the reverse may apply? That they may have thoughts that are GOOD outside of the Koran? From my understanding, most Muslims follow Islam to the same affect that Israelis follow Judaism. A very secular holding.

When's the last time you saw a jew kill an animal to atone for their sins?

My girlfriend's family is Vietnamese by one generation. So they can call themselves Chinese. That doesn't mean they aren't from Vietnam.

Hope that cleared it up some.

"I don't think all Jews should be stigmatized for Abraham's willingness to "sacrifice" (murder) his son Issac (Ishmael if your an Arab)."

Isaac was Abraham's son with Sarah, while Ismael was Abraham's son with Haggar.

Abraham was ready to sacrifice his beloved son Isaac as an
act of obedience to a direct command from G-d. Once G-d saw
Abraham would even slaughter his beloved Isaac if that is what G-d commanded him to do, he passed the test and was spared from doing so.

"My point is that Islam is the world's greatest source of violent evil and the greatest threat to human civilization in this age. "

The greatest threat of violence is ALWAYS going to be Satan's perversion of holy works. In this case, human's with an agenda are the source. The faith itself has been around for eons in Persia with little a whimper towards terrorism... until the revolution came.

All things in moderation. Even faith. ANY faith.

I don't know who the mullah's are who have been ruling Iran for the last 25 years, but I do know they wouldn't be ruling anything if it wasn't for arab help. It's the arabs who are the security police...who terrify the Iranians. Listen to Cyrus the Great, as an American from Iran, he has much to tell you, such as the resurgence of the Persian religion, the worship of Zaroaster.
