I would think one of the Asians or Africans would be a better choice. An Asian might do for China what JPII did to the soviet union. An African could be a direct confrontation to the spread of Islam in Africa.

We need a European pope. Christianity's base is European and that base is corrupt. It needs de-corrupting and another European pope would be the one to do it.

I disagree that Europe is Christianity's "base."

It's base is Christ --- whereever He is.

And if we depend on the empty churches of Europe of all denominations for anything; we're in trouble.
