Gosh, you are dense. Smith said that tariffs are acceptable in specific circumstances. To claim that it makes him a protectionist is the height of absurdity. What is with you guys, anyway? Have you never met a free-marketeer that believes in tariffs in the name of national security? Are you so accustomed to tilting at windmills, and arguments of your own creation, that you cannot see the obvious?
