Nothing should get in the way of at least TRYING our best to reconcile all parties. Peace is a noble objective, yet it must not be at the expense of innocent life. Nor is the "peace at any price" of Neville Chamberlain acceptable. And yet, to "be called peacemakers" is an important principle to try and live by... That's one of the reasons why I think "peace through strength" is a moral imperative for the country. Not to mention having a "credible" deterrence....
I don't see Little Horn taking his stand against the Ancient of Days on Mt Zion yet. The conquering King has not attacked Israel yet with an invading army with intent to destroy Israel.
Worldly politicians of all stripes will always try to look good, so continual "peace efforts" in the M.E. region never really have surprised me. Clinton tried his shot at bringing peace to the region, as have any politician wanting some of the limelight etc.... but it would be something rather startling to see an enraged world military leader with a massive army starting to encircle Israel.
That's what the Bad Guy will do....
Reminds me of an old Word, "peace, peace" and yet there is no peace. Is there Balm in Gilead???
Through Christ, howver, we are more than conquerors. Eternity is forever, and that is a pretty scary thought. We all have Major Choices to make while in this World.
(No, the Bible does not endore "annihilation"..)
I agree with you regarding the Roadmap to Peace. Bush may be being used by God to bring that prophecy about. I'm not happy about that but it could be!
