Mt. Steinbrenner erupts!
That $100,000,000 pitching can't hold a lead!

200,000,000 payroll.
He's wrecking the franchise, again. It slow, like rust on a car. He's give away too many good young farm players. Its a joy to see.

The big unit has been getting hit. 'Tis early in the season, but does my heart good to see the Yanks 4 games behind the leader.

But if you take away their 1-5 record versus the Orioles they yankees are 3-3. LOL!

Steinbrenner Angry As Yanks Fall to 4-8Aw, c'mon George. You know you can't turn a super oil tanker on a dime. They've been on the wrong course for the last six months. After all, your yanks are coming off the biggest choke in playoff history against the mighty Red Sox from last October.

I lost a lot of respect for the Yankees last season during the playoffs when A-Rod (the girly-man) slapped the ball out of the first baseman's hands during a routine groundout. That was pathetic and a disgrace to the once-proud Yankee organization. Torre should have benched him then and there for the remainder of the series. But instead, the Yankees defended his most unprofessional and "un-Yankeelike" conduct.
While I am a long-time Red Sox fan, I must say that the Red Sox win last year lost some lustre on account of the behavior of the Sox top brass during the election last year (the endorsement of Kerry) and also all the show-boating that went on after the victory. I'm talking about the tell-all books, the "Queer Eye" show and all the other distractions that the Red Sox allowed during the pre-season this year.
Bill Belichick wouldn't have stood for that nonsense for a New York minute. He would have kept the focus on the field. That's why Belichick and the Patriots have won three World Championships and are in good position to get even more.

Well, that's too bad for George. As a fan of the World Champion Boston Red Sox, I certainly wouldn't gloat over the Yankee's hard times. The Yankees have a lot of talent, and could turn it around and catch up to the World Champion Boston Red Sox, who are a very good team, as they are the defending World Champions. You have to win a world series to be called "World Champion" so the World Champion Boston Red Sox must be very good. They are so good that in October they won the..

The Yankees and Red Sox have already played 6 games this year. They split 3-3. I'll bet the league wanted to give some other team a chance to be at the top of the heap for a few days. It has to be very discouraging to be in the AL east if you aren't the Sox or Yankees.
In three weeks, the Sox and the Yanks will be at the top and going away. Baltimore will be third and sliding.
