I believe I know who you are referring to..I have cared for them personally.

The 80 year old stroke victim who is moving around like an infant and being fed daily.

Yet another gray area..the elderly in minimal consciousness.

In this case I would call this a true "end of life" issue since the person is nearing the natural end of life.

Clearer distinctions need to be made as to what is end of life (terminal) and what isn't.
