TAMPA, Fla. -- State investigators found no evidence that Terri Schiavo had been abused or exploited by either side of her family, according to documents released by Florida's Department of Children and Families.
The agency investigated 89 complaints dating back to 2001, when Schiavo's feeding tube was removed for the first time and the legal battle surrounding her right-to-die case intensified.
The calls alleged that the brain-damaged woman was being mistreated by her husband and her parents for financial gain. One complaint alleged that Schiavo's parents were selling videos of her through a Web site; another said Schiavo's husband wasn't spending money intended for her rehabilitation.
But investigators said they found no evidence that either her husband or parents were exploiting her, and often noted in their records that they found Schiavo well cared for on their visits to her Pinellas Park hospice.
The agency released the records Friday under court order.
Schiavo, 41, died last month after her feeding tube was removed for the third time, ending a bitter court battle between her husband, Michael Schiavo, and parents, Robert and Mary Schindler, over whether she would have wanted to live in a vegetative state.
The repeated allegations of abuse were based partly on bone scans showing Terri Schiavo suffered fractures and statements she made to family and friends that she was unhappy in her marriage.
Schiavo's husband has denied harming his wife. His lawyer said the fractures resulted from osteoporosis caused by the woman's years of immobility and complications of her medication.
Robert Schindler declined to comment there on the release of the DCF documents. An attorney for Michael Schiavo did not immediately return calls

The evidence is that she had cardiac arrest, probably as the result of her bulimia. Court documents and ALL the doctors who examined her have concurred with that. Every single one.
And if those doctors who were sued thought that MS had any involvement in her condition, wouldn't they have brought it up at trial? Amazing that they didn't.
In fact, it's amazing that it wasn't until approx. 12 years after her collapse that the parents even mentioned potential abuse.

The Schiavo case has far reaching implications and remains worthy of discussion. Those with mentally disabled relatives or who know someone like that are very worried that the govt. will, in its infinite wisdom, decide to pull the plug in some fashion on people it deems 'nonproductive'. And as health dollars get squeezed, this is more likely to happen than not. I think about that Bible quote, 'the lilies of the field who neither toil nor spin' being as worthy as others who do. This is a very slippery slope.

All agree that Terri had a feeding tube prior to discharge in 1990.
What I was seeking was evidence that she was never fed by mouth from 1990 to 2005. What year was the first swallow test? I would figure that there was a feeding tube from sometime before the first swallow test.
I watched that show; you're characterizaion is a COMPLETE distortion of what he actually said.
I think there was a friend who was going to testify to just that, the MS had abused Terri before and that she was getting ready to divorce him, but the way they tied Terri's care in with the lawsuit, that the money would go to her for care, the lawyer didn't want her to bring that up. They said it would only hurt Terri's chances for the best treatment.
The link you provided was about something entirely different. It was a court order. Not a discharge paper.

The reports that I overheard were mostly talking about the dude spending days and night caring for his wife. Honestly, I don't give a Sh*t if he is guilty or innocent. It is a criminal case that should be handled by our justice system. What you and your fellows knuckle dragging born again bunch should be concerned about is the systematic killing, force conversion of Souther Sudanese by their own Muslim government. At least these poor bastards have no criminal court to look after them.
I read your document, but it is inconclusive in and of itself. Greer is NOT an objective source and his successive rulings for Terri's murder are evidence of his lack of objectivity.
Other testimony taken at this hearing conclusively state (including testimony made by MS) that Terri was not "clumsy" and had not been in any type of accident to have caused those injuries.
Greer has a documented history in this case of selecting and rejecting evidence as he saw fit. His ignoring both the law that Congress passed and their order for a de novo review are clear evidence of his arrogance.
Finally, any number of people (again, INCLUDING MS) testified that Terri was not bulimic and that her weight loss had occurred 6 months PRIOR to her collapse. Also, at the time of her collapse, doctors could find no cause, her chen\mical and electrolyte levels were normal and her enzyme levels did NOT indicate that she had suffered a heart attack.
Court documents are interesting records, but you have to take them all into account to discover the real story, not just the ones that you find titillating. The selection of documents you have posted only tell a tiny portion of the story - Greer's view of it and the record clearly indicates that he was not objective in this case.
If the so called Christians in this country will ever get their Sh*t together, they can stop that holocaust.
