You're correct .. and I believe it was done to protect Clinton and his donations from China .. because the lefthand didn't know what the righthand was doing and it kept the agencies from making the connection. Of course, I suspect they weren't looking very hard either.

But .. I didn't realize until the commission hearings that it was Gorelick who was pulling the strings at DOJ, and Janet was just taking orders. And .. it was rumored Gorelick would have been Kerry's choice for DOJ - had he been elected. I think we dodged a double bullet.
