What a bummer! I hope the icing really helps. At least you have the weekend ahead so don't have to be on your feet too much.

I know.

I remember your mentioning that you had tickets for the season opener and that's why I pinged you to my comments.

When I saw the "2 hour lines to go through the metal detectors", I was praying that you got in before the lines got so long, that people missed not only the opening ceremonies, but most of the first inning!!!

I'm so happy for you and the folks in DC to be getting a team here in DC. Boo hoo - it finally happens, just as this New Yorker, used to having Yankee Stadium, Dodger Stadium, Giant Stadium and the Mets all around when I was a kid- and I'm moving out of the area when we finally have the "Nats". Rats!

BTW, CBS reported that there were cheers and some boo's as the President took the mound, but when they replayed the full walk to the mound and the pitch later in the show, it was the strangest thing, but I didn't hear ONE Boo!!!!

Were there really any Boos at all?

How was it to be part of all of that excitement?

What time did you finally get home?

It was about a 1 hour wait to get in for us, when the President came out I didn't hear any boos, the cheers were too loud :-), We got home at 11:30 PM. It was a great game and I'm glad we went. Our seats were on the third base side about 20 feet past third base on the lower deck.

Hi, Gretchen! I'm good, how are you? I lurk at odd hours, so I almost never get in the top 10.

;o)
