They banned DDT imo because they wanted to control human populations. By killing tens of millions in the third world.

The same club of Rome people warning of global overpopulation, were also the people behind banning DDT.

We didn't have airplanes delivering the stuff. Our delivery system was an old pickup truck with an even older machine on the back that spewed the white fog as it came through the fishing camp. One day, he came through, like always, pulled back out onto the road, drove one block then the fog machine blew up! That was an exciting day! I don't think the 'skeeter wagon' ever came through the camp again.

We had both the 'skeeter truck and aerial bombardment from C-47's.

This was a high population area. I used to go out with a woman from Meridian in the '60's. We used to pull into the nesting area off of 20/52, saw a thing, except the creation of future pols.

My mother hated the smell. She would go insided and stay in the bathroom until it dissipated.

I am talking about genetic viability and population growth, the ability of a population to take a big hit and survive as an Identifiable group

This may be a clue to that age old question: "What happened to the Neanderthals"?

Good evening.

I've long blamed Zero Population Growth for much of what's wrong with the world today. Euthanasia and abortion are just two ways the ZPG people have chosen to keep the world's population down to levels they believe are sustainable.

Is the creation and dispersal of diseases like Marburg, Ebola or AIDS as tools to keep population down believable?

...people have chosen to keep the world's population down to levels they believe are sustainable.

They need to be educated in the principles of a free market. First, as a population gets more prosperous the birth rate declines. Secondly, overpopulation is a self-correcting problem. When an area can't sustain the population either the population moves or dies down to a sustainable level..

Good morning.
"They need to be educated in the principles of a free market."

True Believers are not open to being educated. They are not going to apply common sense to whatever problem they have chosen to fix on behalf of the ignorant masses.

I believe many of the professionally indignant groups that plague us today grew out of ZPG.

I also believe the Soviet Union had a hand in getting many of these movements established in our universities.

Eventually ZPG will come to understand what "be careful what you wish for" really means.

I have not kept tabs on the ZPGs but I do agree the left, specifically the Communists, are behind most of our wacked out policies. Their goal is to diminish or conquer, internally or externally, the USA. If harm comes to us or other parts of the world, well, that is just collateral damage. The fact that they have overtly massacred millions shows that doing the same covertly is of little matter.
