That's impossible. If most people in the world believe "American" refers to a US citizen, then that's what it means. It is simply short for, "United States of America". Even most people in the Mexico and Canada acknowledge that America refers to the USA.
Word definitions are one area where the majority rule.
By the way, what country are you from? Where were you born?
The third wayers, like clinton want to change that. They want to integrate our countries at US taxpayers expense. No borders, we're all Americans, yada, yada, yada. They're also the ones who feel "human rights" are supreme to Constitutional rights.
True they are not..
They are INSURGENTS....
And some of you don't.
Your post really nails his a$$ to the barn door.
ROTFL. You are a comedy GENIUS!!!
"It" seems to revel in being stark naked with all its agenda exposed for everyone to see. Quite strange.....
Apparently Jim has no concern about the obvious "Brown Supremacists" trolling the threads here on a daily basis, belittling the US military, referring to the MinuteMan Project and The MinuteMan KLAN, slandering FreeRepublic members who are employed to defend our borders, and promoting their Reconquista plans for their version of "America". Because it is happening over and over and over again, day after day.

Funny then that the Mexican army has been able to temporarily stop or redirect the flow. They obviously have some resources. In fact, they have lots of the necessary resources, people on the government payroll. Heck they still have a military draft, or did last I checked anyway, so manpower is not a problem. The will to do something, even something we'd gladly help pay for, is another thing entirely.
English speakers, yes. Canadians would never call themselves Americans. However those from South of the Rio Grande do sometimes refer to themselves as Americans, and of course technically they are correct. However Mexicans would never refer to themselves as Norte Americanos, and that too would be technically correct.
Hi spiff......
I have lost track of the miles and the numbers. Perhaps you could remind me.
If the Minutemen volunteers were replaced with military or national guard types how many would be required?
I suspect a primary reason the project is not liked is because a volunteer effort while quite effecive is not considered sustainable. To develop an official effort would be very expensive. I would hope the minute men are as dedicated as our Free Republic DC chapter and just keep on keeping on.
The cost sword cuts both ways and I expect you guys have made a dent in the Mexican economy by shutting off the flow. It is impossible to speculate the results of this lost cash flow.
any way......good job.
They might try to give that impression after they arrive here illegally, but the fact is they already a name. If they are from Mexico, they are Mexicans. If they don't like who they are, they shouldn't try to steal our name because we only have the one.
We are Americans. As in United States of America.
I do believe Santa Ana was captured at San Jacinto just a few weeks after the end of the Battle of the Alamo. At the Alamo a few hundred Texicans AND Tejanos, held up Santa Ana's army of thousands for 13 days. Allowing Sam Houston time to organize a force of more Texicans and Tejanos, less than a thousand of which then attacked Santa Ana's troops at San Jacinto. Santa Ana tried to sneak away dressed as a peon, but was captured by one James Sylvester. He tried to convince Sylvester that he was merely an aide to Santa Ana, but that didn't stand up any more than his previous tale of being only a common soldier.
With characteristic charity, Santa Ana was released, in return for recognition of Texas independence. It would have been better, for both the United States and for Mexico, if Sam Houston had had him hung.

He's ignorant as well as obstinate then. Mexican Presidents serve a single 6 year term.
There is "un grupo", or "an grupo", I guess. "el" in this context, is the same as "the" "an the group" doesn't make sense, even in Spanglish. :)
That is a good point, and I agree.
I'm baffled by that also.
But, it's his website to do as he sees fit...
