well, we have the majority.. where is the house ethics panel when we need it?
The bi-partisan Ethics Committee having previously admonished DeLay three times for ethics violations, those Republicans who voted against him are now out, replaced with DeLay supporters. Don't worry for DeLay, he's been well protected by the House Republican leadership.
And don't worry for equally guilty Democrats, because there's no media pressure to go after them. There may always be partisan fighting, but Congress will always be a bi-partisan good ol' boys club that protects its own until forced to do something.
I'm all for a complete house cleaning on both sides of the aisle, stopping the junkets and the vote trading. Make them live up to high standards of ethics with no such thing as a slap on the wrist (like DeLay's admonishments) for violations. It's censure and then you're out on the next offense.
