Shays and the RINOs are putting their reelections over principle, as usual.

I know one thing. If DeLay is forced to resign, the GOP can kiss the mid-term elections goodbye. Conservatives will stay home in disgust.

You are absolutely correct. It would behoove our President and Sen. Frist and Congressman Hastert to come out with a ringing endorsement of DeLay pronto, instead of their mealy-mouthed comments that Juan Williams threw out on Chris Wallace's show today as being a sign that DeLay doesn't have the support of the Republican leadership. If DeLay goes, I stay home from the polls in '06. Bill Frist and Denny Hastert won't have to worry about their image in the media, because they won't be majority leaders any more if all conservatives sit out next year's election. They already damaged DeLay, the most effective leader the Republicans have ever had, by caving into the media last year with these "rebukes" for nothing that was illegal and we see how successful that sell-out was.
