I assume this guy will be forever watched by the secret service and with a little luck he'll step over the line and get himself into real trouble that he can't weasel out of.

You can mail a letter to the POTUS saying he'll die and praising terrorists, but Teddy Kenndey pees his pants about Tom DeLay supposedly justifying violence against judges. (which DeLay didn't)

So I ask, just who is running this country?

Now if this had been sent to Clinton, you could throw away the key on this guy. But since it is a conservative nothing is out of bounds.

But saying 'You suck' to a Democrat president while he's passing is more than deserving of detention and interrogation. We've passed through the Looking Glass, Alice.

If everyone in the country who endorses Bush's death got 18 months, there wouldn't be a Democrat on the streets.

Sure sounds illegal to me.

I know one fella who was once at the Federal prison at Jesup GA who was there precisely for mailing threatening letters to W's daddy.

The snippet of the article doesn't say, but I don't think it would be going out on a limb to assume the appeals court in question is the 9th Circuit...

Mailing a letter to the White House supporting President Bush's death at the hands of terrorists is not illegal, a federal appeals court ruled Friday.

Neither is killing the innocent and helpless anymore. "It's the end of the world as we know it, and I feel fine..." Hitler still lives, I guess. His hydra has just grown back many more heads.

Would appear that letter supports the enemies of America and the death of the President.

Isn't that treason?

With all due respect did anyone even bother to read the full court opinion posted by #35?

If you did you'd see a couple things:

All that being said this guy whack-job will be on some 'watch list'. As previously he wrote in a notebook about personally killing Dubya & Laura, Clinton and other politicians with a 30-06. Unfortunately that notebook was part of his therapy and ruled 'privileged' and that it never should have seen the light of day in a court room.
