If you remember, hon, you were my teacher a few months ago!
No, I won't try to usurp my teacher's position. I'll just add my own bit of knowledge.
The biggest concern of the doctors recently has been the condition of the skin. The radiation burns weakens the skin to the point that it won't hold the stitches required after surgery.
God blessed me with the ability to heal very fast, and my skin has recovered from the radiation burns. It's ready.
Thank you, dear one, for throwing me that life perserver of knowledge when I was drowning.

You are more than welcome, kind sir. Though I'm confident that you did more for yourself than anyone else could have done for you. You're just that kind of guy. And please don't forget how much you've helped me, along with what you do for countless others. There's a reason so much love is coming back to you now, TC. It's 'cause you put it out there in the first place, right? Right!
One of the things I love most about FR is that friends and strangers come together and support one another without the slightest bit of hesitation. If but the world operated that way, eh...?
I'm so glad your burns have healed. They had to be miserable little monsters. Can't help but wonder if you managed all that on your own, or if you had had a bit of help from UCLA's famous hyperbaric oxygen therapy center. Regardless, it's clear that you're ready for prime time next Monday. Your determination and spirit will be a huge asset to your surgeon. Ask him/her, they'll tell you > smile.
Mucho hugs and more prayers,
Me
