Yes indeed the South is great! 105 sounds like heaven. It started out at 59 here this morning and the temp has been dropping every since. No sun. Drizzle punctuated by thunder showers. Yesterday it was so dark at midday I thought the End had come and so did my dog and cat who huddled near me with worried looks. Thunder shook the house like a 4.9 quake. I'm wearing a polartec jacket and socks indoors and have the heat on. Forecast is more of the same for the next week at least. This year, the temp reached 80 for two HOURS only...one sunny day, the rest miserable gloom.
This Global Warming stuff is just awful!
Hugs and prayers for you and Philip...
Veto!
I would definitely rather be hot than cold, although the humidity is so bad here that you can hardly breathe when you walk outdoors. The heat index is only 90 today, so that is not too bad. My poor air conditioner runs all day and cannot keep the house at the temperature I set it at. Poor things works so hard!
Yo, Yaelle. Joining you and your boys in prayer for TC today. That Oliver of yours is a real angel! Boy,is he the cutest thing!
TC, your prayer posse is still riding along at your side. I'm personaly riding shotgun today, willing and able to blast every wisp of doubt or pain that dares show up on your trail to healing and wellness. Out of our way! We're coming through!
Happy Trails, friend. And a wave of the cowgirl hat to Yaelle and her little riders too.
God bless,
Veto!
We need to take up a collection and get you your own machine. Of course then when would you get anything else done? :)
While you're pretty much lassoed to your fancy bed,
I'm every night of every day like this fella -- --
tethered by a 22' line to the cycler...already am "hitched up," havin' to finish up the program early in the morning to go to Aiken.
At least the line is long enough so I can reach the computer room to see if there any updates on or from you. Whether there's one or not, probably there are none of us who are not lifting you up to The Almighty, TC -- least of all me.
Figure four years ago, He stuck us together with a kinda Holy Super Glue - lol - through common memories and ideals and outlook, and the Marine Corps bond that gets us through, right after belief in Him...:))
However many lassoes and hobbles and spurs and other 'challenges' come our way, we just listen to His cadence call and keep on marching --
a Marine always reaches his objective, and we know how to do that...
try hard, and then try harder.
Hold on to my hand; and I'll hold yours...

LOL, Cat Man -- throw in a second phone line and the cost of a high speed connection, and I'll never get anything done - -
be duly condemned by the Health Department, and hauled away..:))
If not the latter, prolly my mouse will die from overuse!!
Hey Little Sistah! We're both back. Whew, I'm pooped. Had Miss Em today, and do you know that child is getting heavy. I find that lugging her around wears me out. We got her a little red plastic car for her B'day and she loves being pushed around the patio in that. So I pushed. Had prayer meeting tonight, and as usual T.C. is on our list. That boy has more people praying for him than Carter has liver pills. How can he not get well?
Sounds like God will get so weary of listening to the varied noises we send upward, He will place His hands over His ears amd say,
"All right, down there!
I'm already handling this my way!!"
Maybe, but I sure hope the Lord doesn't get weary of our petitions. At least one of His parables indicates that persistance pays off. You know, the one about the guy who woke up his neighbor in the middle of the night.
Don't misunderstand what I said He replied...
no, He cannot ever grow weary of our speaking on TC's behalf! --
It's just that WE are not listening to HIS REPLIES to us,
that HE IS already HANDLING THE WHOLE THING according to His will!!!
(are we not often guilty of one-way imploring to Him, not waiting for His answer???)

AAACK....sorry 'bout that...
Are we ever! I preach that one all the time. We're always talking talking talking at God, but we don't listen very well. How many times did He say, "Be still, and know that I am God."
To me, over and over and over ---
but I've learned to do just that. (most of the time.:))
There are probably worse ways to go. :). In fact I know there are, lots of them.
You have the high speed connection, you don't need the second phone line. I don't have any phone line at all. But I'm not doing voice over Internet either, but like my daughters, I'm purely cellular. I like my History and Discover Channels, along with Fox news, too much to not have a cable connection. Which makes the extra cost of the cable internet service not all that much.
It has been my birthday today, and birthday prayers go up in a special line to Heaven, so I hope mine have gone up extra fast and get TC some extra strength to win this fight.
Nite Cowboy. Love you!
HEY LADIES!
The best from all over America.
I was birthed in Tyler Texas.
Raised in the Northern Cali Valley east of SF. For my adult years have lived ever so
happy and content amongst fishermen and hunters on the cool humid Oregon Coast.
We take pride in our canning of local fruits and fish and have the best farmers markets and quilting groups north.
Hiking, skiing and surfing in a radious of 100 miles in the most rugged areas of God's Country.
Pride of the Northwest.
