A Few Prayers for Texas Cowboy!!
The Horse's Mouth | 08-Apr-05 | Tom Eaker

Prayers for TexasCowboy!

TexasCowboy has been using his hip injury as an excuse to prevent his friends from shooting his new riot gun.

Well some of us offered to take a look at it for him and he decided both a proffesional and sober opinion might make more sense.

So he found a coupon and now he is going to let some old saw-bones cut on him.

Probably a better idea than letting us do it, but a few folks feelings are still hurt!

Please all say a prayer for our Cowboy that he is back in the saddle again real soon.

Did you ever find out what was the gut issue? Just curious if it was a psuedeo block of an infected herniated divercula pouch that burst.

Prayes for Faith that takes a good 6wks of patience and healing if it is what I am assuming she had done.

We have been so active that it has left little time to check in at FR

Some days I fell asleep before getting through the ping lists.

We have to slow down a few days so not to lead to exhaustion even though everything we are currently participating in is "good" activities.

Sept KV starts Marine Biology lectures at OSU so that will be more to sced. and incorperate into an already full calander.

My personal activities are coming along great but some appts are being added to complete my objectives.

Very postive things all the way around.

Prayers Up for TC and Faith.

Glory to God for prayers heard.

I'll be watching Fox News Channel, hoping to see you and all the other Freepers..:))

Did you catch me on Fox? I was right behind JimRob. White straw cowboy hat, green shirt. Next to my coworker, FReeper jddriv, who was wearing a dark blue shirt, blue baseball cap. Both of us wearing dark shades.

This is another pic which shows us all, including JimRob, a lot better. The lady to JimRob's right is FReeper Basil, one of the local organizers. The gentleman to her right is a FReeper too, but I don't remember his handle. He drove the 18 wheeler with the flatbed trailer that was used as a stage at various stops of the MoveAmerica Forward "convoy". Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

I can't tell you how thrilled I was when the air horn on that vehicle cut loose when the convoy arrived, and even more thrilled, when who should its driver wheel up but FReeper Numero Uno!

TC is coming home today! Just got off the phone with Faith and he's in the process of being released. She reports that he's doing really well except "he's starving!" WOW! Is that ever good news! He's actually hungry! He can't eat anything but broths and very soft foods for while, but at least he's on the mend :)

The other good news is that he's in the "loop" for the treatment, so hopefully in about 3 weeks, he'll start that (at LONG last!).

Out FReeping Standing.

HooRah!

Sempre Fi!

Carry On!

Sorry to be so slow getting back to this thread. But since last Saturday, all my FReeping has been dedicated to the rally thread, and Katrina.

But this... This MADE MY DAY>!

Whoa, I missed that she was going in for her surgery. Yet more fantastic news from the Bear State!

Gosh Flyer, you didn't include the best part, next to the Flag of course.

Appropriate messages for a horse's ass, from well, two horse's asses. :)

I reckon ol' TC was with us in spirit alright.

I don't just reckon, I *know*. I thought of him often during the rally.

Between us, we could whi...um.."gently persuade her"

If it's all the same to you, I'd just as soon y'all whipped her sorry a$$. We could make a video. Sell the DVDs, and give the money for Katrina relief. :) I know I'd pay good money to see that.

Note that was what I was actually saying, EG..:))
Tactfully 'altered' it to maintain ladylike dignity, and pass Posting Muster.

TexasCowboy and I actually would not need to lay a hand on Cindy Sheehan, the scorching from our in tandem, from our depths words quite effective weapons.
She *would* get the message delivered by two Marine Corps friends with a single Purpose and Mission...

[Ideally, we would recruit you - a noble AF type - to administer the duct tape applied around her hands, ankles and over her mouth..:))]
LOL

I knew what you meant of course, but I don't think even your Gunny would object to that sort of language in this case. Even just you and TC verbally tearing a strip off her backside would be worth something to hear on an audio CD. But I'd still rather see you and Nan whipping her ass, or just you.

Maybe you could verbally tear her a new one, then whip her ass? Give folks a discount for buying both the audio and the video disks. :)

I'm sure I could get hold of some of that 500 mph tape the AF uses for patching bullet and fragment holes. We'd need something like for *her* mouth

This stirs a memory, EG..:))
Turn the pages of history back to 1962, during the Cold War...
30 September 1962 brought our baby daughter, added to sons 7 and 8 - within 2 weeks, the Cuban Missile Crisis for a month - and then orders for reassignment to Eielson AFB, 30 miles south of Fairbanks, Alaska.

In our station wagon loaded to the gills, we (and 2 dogs) drove through Canada, around the top of the Rocky Mountains and the length of the Alaska Highway, all between 26 December 62 and 11 January 1963.

Skipping all the harrowing adventures involved in that, and temps of 40 below zero and not only blizzards but a whiteout, we reached the beginning of the the Base runway at 1 p.m....on our left, the setting sun was on the horizon, flanked by two vertical rainbows!

Swinging out eyes back to the right, from the runway rose - - hark back, mind you to the Gary Powers Incident with Russia, and President Eisenhower's promise to Russia we'd not fly U-2 spy planes over them any more - an unmistakable aircraft was rising at the steep angle that THEN could only BE a U-2!!

Yep - Bernie was in Security there, and many recon flights continued, sitting so near Russia...there came a day when one incoming issued a May Day! May Day! call, saying he was "experiencing extreme vibrations"!

Crash crews and Security at the ready, he rolled to a stop - climbed down on shaky legs and said, "Don't talk to me - get me a drink.."
The U-2 was positively riddled with bullet holes, and it was a miracle he was able to get it back and land it.

==============================

You'll love this one, too, El Gato!
The proximity to Russia worked both ways, and out of the blue, some Russian fighters could not resist the temptation (knowing we had slow F-2s there) to fly over our base airfield and waggle their wings at us!
Not once, mind you, but again..:)) (boys will be boys)

Quietly, F-4s were flown up from Seattle and placed in open hangars on the runway, at the ready to scramble.
LOL - sure enough, the Ruskies came back again, and within minutes, the 3 now not-so-happy pilots were surrounded by our Boyz in Blue..:))

One of those pilots told Bernie afterward, "Before they reached the International Divide, I pulled alongside one, dropped my missile rack and waggled my finger at the Ruskie - - who turned absolutely white-faced..."
Our orders, of course, were not to fire unless they did, but just provide escort to the air space "border."
That ended the game.

Not all war is grim..:))
