Prayers for TexasCowboy!

TexasCowboy has been using his hip injury as an excuse to prevent his friends from shooting his new riot gun.

Well some of us offered to take a look at it for him and he decided both a proffesional and sober opinion might make more sense.

So he found a coupon and now he is going to let some old saw-bones cut on him.

Probably a better idea than letting us do it, but a few folks feelings are still hurt!

Please all say a prayer for our Cowboy that he is back in the saddle again real soon.

This makes me feel bad. I had promised Pete-R-Bilt that I would shoot his cell phone but I had other, better paying, projects come up. After a while he apparently decided he would let anybody shoot it.

And yes, the story was "accidentally cell phoneicide".

But, comma, I hit the thing right square in the display, in one shot. 75 ft - 25 yds - standing. In fact, it was the first shot I'd ever taken with the blackhawk... factory load .357 and American Eagle at that.

So, there ya are, ya takes yer best shot. And then, ya sit around deer camp and make up stories about it.

I guess it won't matter that us guys don't care if a gun's branny butt new from the factory, or had ten shots through it. Well, just don't go thinkin that we aren't sensitive to fashion trends.... does this 1911 make me look fat?

Here are the directions for the coffee Darks makes:

Here's a recipe for the best strong coffee in the world! I do not follow the directions on the coffee package because it turns out insipid. Here's how to really make the richest coffee to wake up with:


Here's what you'll need:

® 1 part coffee, ground (not instant)
® 5 to 6 parts water
® a pot to boil the water (not a kettle - you'll see why)
® one of those cone-shaped filter holders
® one of those cone-shaped paper filters
® coffee mug(s)
® coffee pot for serving (optional)


Here's the directions:

Step 1: ® Put the water in the pot and bring it to a boil.

Step 2 ® When the water is boiling, take it off the stove, and immediately stir the coffee right into it.
® Stir it in enough to make sure all the coffee grounds are well wetted.

Step 3 ® Pour the water/coffee mix through the filter and cone, into the coffee pot or mugs
® Add sugar and/or milk to taste.You'll need more than usual. This is strong!


Remember though, it's hot, so be careful. Don't sip it until it's cooled down enough that you don't burn yourself. Also note that coffee is addictive. If you drink this amount every day you will become addicted.
