You can find the old thread with the complete article and it's interesting comments HERE.
Anger over immigration plan surprises GOP senators--I'm a little surprised at the overwhelming anger of Americans.--They simply do not care, so we need to unemploy them.
Barbarians at the Gates! A Parable for Our Time
Anyone with the persistence or obsession to bother searching my very public posts at Free Republic knows I was a reluctant supporter of President Bush when he first ran, became enthused after 9-11, and have shaken my head in disappointment after the 2004 elections.
This Administration has become a Clown Car performance, writ large.
I just wish they all would go away now.
Just FWIW, he delivered this insulting diatribe in my home town. Before a captive audience of paid employees, just like Clinton used to.
Shills.
From now on, all Republican solicitations for money are getting this:

Remarks by President Bush on Comprehensive Immigration Reform (5/29/07)--Call the Savannah office of the soon to be Ex- Senator Saxby Chambliss and politely express your response
(912) 232-3657 . The Pres is visiting my old home town. Trust me the staff is very nice and so is the office in Atlanta (770) 763-9090 .
Save Chambliss & Isakson from disaster--Bush is hard at work cementing his position as Second Worst President Ever.

Bush Attacks Immigration Deal Opponents--After so many years of faith and support, I see corruption everywhere and I wonder what kind of country Im sending brave kids into harms way for. Why should they die for a ruling class that seemingly has nothing but contempt for us?

I'm borrowing Michelle's post title to link to her two astonishing collections of photos from yesterday's pro-illegal immigration demonstrations. Here's one as a teaser, but you really should see them all:
MASSIVE photo essay on the Los Angeles immigration protest! Read more at modernconservative.com
I saw A LOT of this. People---almost invariably kids---hiding their faces like urban stagecoach tilters. What is the deal with this? If conservatives marched in such numbers and elements of the marchers hid their faces like this, the media and the Left would be apoplectic with fear and accusations of looming fascist tyranny.
Note the "Arab" ties:
I spent 30 years in California (1976-2006). It went from a Republican state, to a third world socialist hell hole. Soon to be bankrupt.
Funny, huh?
Europe: Borders Are Back Baby!
During the heyday of the European Union Euro-types were fond of pointing out how Europe no longer had internal borders - you could travel from Rome to Copenhagen with just your EU passport - and lecturing Americans over our passé notions of immigration control. But now that the PIGS countries are collapsing and refugees are pouring in from outside the EU, suddenly national border checks are back:
Denmark is to reintroduce controls at its EU borders with Germany and Sweden in an attempt to curb crime and illegal immigration, ahead of todays [Thu] meeting in Brussels that will discuss the visa-free Schengen zone
Passport-free travel across the Schengen area, which does not include Britain or Ireland, has come under unprecedented pressure after Italy gave residence permits to more than 25,000 Arabs last month, allowing them unfettered access to the rest of the EU.
The European Commission was last week forced to propose the reintroduction of temporary passport controls as under very exception circumstances after a conflict between France and Italy threatened to destroy the border-free zone.

So that 11 million figure was phony all along?
“First 46 million? does anyone believe that number? I dont. It might very well have been that, at the beginning of this mess, but look here, La Gran Salida is REAL. You might not see it in your area, but I see it in mine. Look, our local neighborhood grocery store, so small I have trouble finding anything not routine, was starting to stock magazines in Spanish in 2007....”

Neither precedent nor the law mean anything to people like this. They just make it up as they go along to suit their needs.
Thats how fascism takes root.

Against the law but dont uphold the law. Even the judges are lawless in Obamas America. I want us to deport every single last illegal alien. No amnesty, no free tuition, no protest marches. Deport them and their offspring, born here or not. You dont break the law and benefit from it....”
Small bump....
