Donahue's right. For years, I've heard liberal catholics say:
"After the current Pope is gone..."
"When we have a new Pope..."
"As long as the current Pope is still around..."
They've always had this assumption that, after John Paul II is gone, they'll somehow be able to talk the next Pope into changing the doctrine of the Church to suit their needs.
They'll be sadly disappointed, because they don't understand the presence of the Holy Spirit in the Church.
And then they'll be pissed.
Don't worry, they won't go to Mass anyway, unless it's Easter or Christmas, judging by attendance at my Church.
