These St. Malachy "prophecies" were debunked a long time ago. They are the result of a 15th century forgery. The Popes up to that point are described with some degree of accuracy, which is to be expected when it's done after the fact. The descriptions of the Popes after that date are vague enough to extract any number of meanings. Also, the misses far outnumber the hits.

kind of like if you put 100 monkeys in a room with typewriters eventually they will produce shakespeare.
These things crack me up, you have ancient writings that are translated from ancient languages by intepreters who may see what they want to see. One book i had (published in 85) predicted that Spain Portugal and Italy would have sunk by the early 90s - Nostrodamus. As far as i know they are still there - go figure.
