No, nor should the media try to play up these very few incidents to try to make gullible people like you believe that this is the only reason people homeschool. Creeps and other lowlifes exist in all areas of life.

Your definition of homeschooling is off - it does not mean only those who learn everything at home. Homeschooling means that the parents are in charge of the child's education and can choose how to educate that child - whether by teaching/learning at home or by using community resources.

Do some learning of your own before you make these types of assumptions.

The media doesnt' try and play up these incidents just because it gets your tailfeathers in a spin by disclosing them at all. It should never have mentioned the Dollars or the Yates because they don't fit the norm? It never implied these were anything other than demented people or under the influence of demented people. Unlike those who like to attack any incident within a public school as being rampant in every ps.

All parents should be involved in their children's educations that is hardly earthshaking nor is it anything most good teachers beg for. But the point is some are more capable of doing good thereby than others.
