Threads about the Pope or anything Catholic bring out some of the most despicable behavior I have seen on FR. It is usually the same suspects over and over. No amount of admonishing them does any good. It is all about being more 'Christian' than the Catholics (of which I am one). Remember, you can't be more 'Christian' than them, because they say they are.

Especially the catholic bashers. I hope this explains what you need to understand. We catholics do the Hail Mary which is the greeting Gabriel greeted the Virgin Mary when he told her that she was going to be with child

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blesset are thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.

Does this sound like we are praying to her? No it does not. Then we contininue with Holy Mary, Mother of God pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death, Amen

It means we are asking Mary to pray for us. It is like as if you are asking someone to interfere for you.
