Oh, you mean the stuff about helping the poor? Yeah, that's a horrible thing to teach. We all know that the poor are poor because they aren't the "elect".

Helping the poor is very honorable. But we are not talking about that. We are talking about doctrine.

Ephesians 2:8,9 the Apostle Paul wrote:

"For BY GRACE ARE ye saved through FAITH; and that not of yourselves: it is the GIFT OF GOD.

NOT OF WORKS, lest any man should boast".

Dear, a comma does not wipe out the second half of the sentence. The fear of works was fear that people would be boastful of doing good and righteous acts.

Seems that the most boastful are the Protestants; boasting about how they don't do works so they won't boast.
