In the wake of all the John Paul II premature canonization threads, it is a great service you provide to post a statement that not only presents a "fair and balanced" view, but indeed reminds and implores all Catholics of our obligation to pray for the repose of the soul of the Holy Father. If you loved him, pray for his soul.

If he was a believer in Jesus as Lord and Savior and was marked by God with the indelible Holy Ghost. Why are you praying for his soul ? Jesus guaranteed eternal life to all those who believe on his name. Save your prayers for someone who is not a believer. The Pope is already in heaven enjoying the fellowship there with the saints that have gone on before. Hurray for him...........
