Having grown up in NYC I have extensive knowledge of panhandlers and their scams, and one of the ugliest is people using children as a front to support their drug habit.
And yes, people who do that are probably going to hell and I don't care if that's "judgmental".

That's really sweet and all, but I'm sure much of cynicism on this board is born of experience with these types. Personally, I have yet to find one on the up and up.
