Maybe it was the fact that it was in three different posts. It didn't really come across very well.
I agree with you completely about the Catholics worshiping Mary and praying to her and numerous saints.
I believe we have a direct line and don't need a "middleman".
But maybe this isn't the time for these discussions. We may not see the need for a pope, but they love him and we should let them mourn him without having to defend their faith at the same time.

Thanks for the advice; however "we" may think differently about these things. Error is error. This may actually be a good time for discussing Catholic/Protestant issues IMO as the differences between the churches rarely come up nowadays. If you choose not to...well that's up to you.
