I must've missed the trial. Where was the jury of her peers? Juries aren't Constitutionally required in state civil matters.

Juries aren't Constitutionally required in state civil matters.Juries are required in cases where the state may order death. This was one of those cases. Unless, of course, you read the 14th Amendment as only applying to criminals which would be a novel reading.
