Folks buy Neopolitan Mastiffs because their kid wants the "Harry Potter" dog. Then the cute little wrinkly puppy winds up the size of a pony. I predict the Neopolitan Mastiff rescue organizations are going to be very busy about a year from now.
As for ruining the German Shepard breed, the AKC is doing that all by itself. Poor critters can barely walk.
