Yeah, this morning's spike was quite a shock, but all I seem to think about is the fact that this is what the liberals wanted all throughout the 90's (and perhaps now), when they lamented that we don't pay up the nose for gas the way the vaunted Europeans do. I like to remind some of my friends that sometimes you don't like it when you get what you think you want.
The liberals are still unhappy - all that money is going to the oil-producing countries and the oil companies, not being paid in taxes to the gubmint. Boohoo.
