A nice start on liturgical renewal would be outlawing OCP and Gather hymnals from all U.S. Catholic churches immediately Yeah hymms like Ave Maria, the Magnificat, Holy God We Praise thy Name and All Creatures of Ye God and King have been replaced by touchy feely stuff like Gather Us In (which sounds like Wreck of The Edmund Fitzgerald) to name but one hymm to barf to. My parish uses the hardcover Gather hymnal, its not so much the problem of the hymnnal itself as it is the music ministry using all the music by David Haas, et al (barf) and just the whole what I call the "Guitarzan" mass.
