No, you don't measure the glucose level before administering the glucose. Seconds count in this case, and if a person is already unconcious, then you can cause no harm.
From the labs, it appears she entered a diabetic coma...but, this did not pan out, as she is no longer diabetic after a few days! Glucose levels return to normal.
Another piece of the puzzle for me, is the fact that Mike volunteered the information that he "shook" Terri when he found her lying on the floor. People who shake babies often admit to a part of it...they will say that they threw the baby in the air or were playing roughly...to set up an explaination. Seems to me Mike was admitting to shaking her, as a way of explaination if they discovered her injuries seemed suspicious for abuse.
