Terri Schiavo Cremated Amid Family Feud
Saturday, April 02, 2005
TAMPA, Fla. Terri Schiavo's body was cremated Saturday as disagreements continued between her husband and her parents, who were unable to have their own independent expert observe her autopsy.
The cremation was carried out according to a court order issued Tuesday establishing that Michael Schiavo () had the right to make such decisions, said his lawyer, George Felos. He said plans for burying her ashes in Pennsylvania, where she grew up, had not yet been completed.
Terri Schiavo's parents, Bob and Mary Schindler, had wanted to bury their daughter in Pinellas County so they could visit her grave.
Terri Schiavo, 41, died Thursday after the removal of the feeding tube that had kept her alive since 1990, when she suffered brain damage that court-appointed doctors determined had placed her in a persistent vegetative state (). Her parents had fought in court to keep her alive, disputing the doctors' opinions and saying there was hope of improvement.
Michael Shciavo's "wants" had nothing to do with Teri being cremated. Florida law allows for it as the ME specifically noted.
Wow, Dr. Hammesfahr was nominated for a Nobel Prize in medicine. He must be a really good Doctor.
ok Thanks.
I am of the opinion that the ME is a stand up guy and will give the results as he found them. He has spoken publicly against the former Pinellas County ME and shed light on her bunglings. He is also very knowledgeable in his field. I don't think he will risk his good reputation for anyone who, in the future and pending the results of an investigation, may find themselves in deep doo doo.
Terri was heavy in high school.
"which resulted in this Judicial Murder Atrocity."
1. The ****unlawful***** killing of one human by another, especially with premeditated malice.
????
Thanks for the link. Thats so sad to see where Terri lived for 5 years and where she suffered and died. Its all so senseless. They are trying to make it all out to be so nice and casual. Its just so sad. It wasn't that way at all.
The 'good' doctor has since been discredited, (much to his credit) from now on when you mention his name, be prepared for a right royal bucketing!
However, he pratices in Florida and you'll find his qualifications and educational details on the Net.
Cremation is not a long process. My father died on a Thursday AM & was cremated on a Saturday AM and his remains returned to us the same evening.
"Low potassium impairs glucose metabolism and leads to elevated blood sugar."
You know you're screwing up a perfectly good speculation?
Thanks. I'll take a look.
Down right German efficient
"That was an interesting line of questioning. Could you add what you left out, or should someone else do it for you?"
Walker's "friendly testimony" has been shown numerous times without questioning. I provided the link and one need only avail themselves of the reading.
What did you think of it?
On Quackwatch.com, there's a write-up on Hammesfahr by a guy named Stephen Novella, who's the President of the ... {drumroll}... New England Skeptical Society.
This is another alleged blemish they use to smear the guy. As if a one of them knew who the hell this Stephen Novella is, or what his agenda was. But never mind any of that...
"The nurses have not been discredited, but were fired for taking care of Terri, which raises their believability."
Did they file a complaint with the police about the attempted murder? There should be a police report? There should have been an investigation or was this all covered up too?
I am familiar with the tin foil theory. :-)
You're welcome.
"I seen of all that. But when push comes to shove, he did not deny that was not his report when put on the spot. Like I said, it was interesting."
Yes it was interesting but it certainly has led to wild speculation in the absence of other data.
