There were folks who had the long knives out for Senator Rick Santorum, This is a handful of people (granted they are noisy)

Even Rush Limbaugh said today that immigration is not just a problem but a really big problem that may end up putting the Dems back in power in both the WH and congress.
I suspect you like many on these threads wish to reply in feel-good ways about GWB and the GOP in general and do not wish to confront issues that are uncomfortable to many conservatives.
The Bush brothers did not do all they could to preserve life with respect to Terri Schiavo. You wrote that they took a political risk. They did indeed unfortunately the risk they took was weak and unsuccessful. Luckily, Jeb showed us all we need to know about his abilities with respect to his candidacy for President such that he will not be a candidate. At least one good thing came of Terri's passing.

Don't expect the world to be perfect. If you can do a little good, it's worth a little trouble and a few insults.

How dare you come swooping in on a day like this when everyone is focused on their grief, on a day when we feel like we're on a deathwatch that's gone on for a month, during an Easter that hasn't been much of a celebration at all, and sh!t all over everything with a stupid demand for attention. GROW UP! Don't come back till you do. Get out of here! Who needs you? This forum is not for the faint hearted.
You are Exhibit A of what hutch is talking about.

You have to have thick skin to remain here.
You must be able to take in the good and weed out the bad.
There is good & evil everywhere, even on FR.

Luckily, Jeb showed us all we need to know about his abilities with respect to his candidacy for President such that he will not be a candidate. Jeb's made it clear he has no plans to run for President.

Don't take chat forums so seriously. People will always say radical things online that they'd never utter in person. You got that right, especially if they like their front teeth! It's a beautiful thing, isn't it?

Sorry to see you go. I prefer myself to stay and debate and cajole, and sometimes shame, but we must each march to our own drummer, and do what seems best for us. Good luck and take care.

Just ask Jim Robinson in a freepmail. He'll take care of it if you ask nicely.

How in the world replacing Rick Santorum with a Democrat would aid conservatism is beyond me, but it was demanded because Santorum endorsed Specter. Then you don't grasp cause & effect. Or, you actually mean 'Republicans' when you say 'conservatism.'
If Republicans are allowed to go as far leftward as they want without any negative consequences from the right, then they will do so.

BTW, how do you post a picture? And you've been here how long??? :)
First thing you need to do is sign up for a free account at photobucket.com or imageshack.com or any photo host site of your choice. Once you've done that, just upload the pic that you want to post to that site. The site will then provide you with several hotmail codes. Copy the code that begins with "< img" and paste it here in your reply box. Piece of cake!

You don't get it either. We aren't name calling, we are making statements that are literally true. WAKE UP! Maybe in your own twisted dementia. I have been called a democrat, a nazi, a communist, a marxist, an athiest, etc, ad nausea. It is usually by some self righteous idiot that is mentally incapable of making a valid argument, so instead resorts to name-calling and typing their last sentence in all caps, followed by an exclamation point.

In some cases, more akin to "especially if they like not getting shot." Some of the insults I've taken of late are the sort of thing I refrain from saying unless I am absolutely certain the target isn't packing heat.

Which is it? Lurked here since '98. You have a problem with it? Tough. Why not create your own holier-than-thou vanity on the subject? Bet hchutch could give you some pointers.

also got a very bad feeling when the Schindlers embraced the likes of Randall Terry and Bo Gritz. IThe only way I can justify in my mind, that the Schindlers associated with these two, is that they were completely desperate.
I don't have children, so I can't claim to know what a parent would go throw when faced with the prospect of losing a child, but I would bet that something about 'the ends of the earth' would come into play.
