Schindler Coroner Nixed from Terri Autopsy
NewsMax ^ | 4/1/05 | Carl Limbacher

Posted on 04/01/2005 1:13:35 PM PST by wagglebee

Dr. Cyril H. Wecht, the well-known forensic pathologist and coroner of Allegheny County, Pa., told listeners of a morning radio show that he was denied permission to observe Terri Schiavo's autopsy, despite the wishes of her parents.

A medical examiner in Pinellas County, Florida, is conducting an autopsy that could help determine what Schiavo's state of consciousness was and whether she was abused by her husband, as the Schindlers allege. Wecht, appearing on the syndicated America's Morning Show with Quinn and Rose, based in Pittsburgh, said that an investigator working for the Schindler's law firm had called him on Thursday to see whether he would be agreeable to observing the autopsy.

Dr. Wecht told Quinn and Rose he was certainly be agreeable to that, but that several hours later he received word that the medical examiner had declined to give him permission.

Dr. Wecht told the morning hosts that he considered this a mistake, according to Rose Somma Tennent. "He said that, if this were in [his] office, [he] would have said sure - not just because of professional courtesy, but because of the controversy sourrounding this case," Somma Tennet said.

Calls made during the show to the medical examiner's office were not returned.

The results from the autopsy are expected in a few weeks.

many people found hitler quite charming and fun to be around.

Ah, the Hitler analogy. Debate over. You lose.

No one who met me for a few times would feel the need to tell people that I was "not warm and fuzzy". Think about what it means for him to say that. He was giving his personal assessment of Michael's personality and he chose to say this. It's like writing a letter of recommendation for somebody and calling him "adequate".

But I am, in fact, quite warm and fuzzy. Most pit bulls are.

The the local medical examiner do their job. If the Schindler's have their pathologist do an examination then Schiavo will insist on having his do one as well. Hasn't she been violated enough?

Cyril just wanted to observe. This Floriduh ME should have been glad to have Cyril Wecht observe him. This would be like a 14 year old novice at the piano not allowing Chopin to see him play. It's crooked! It would have been a perfevtly normal professional courtesy! This smells too!

..set on trashing the husband at every turn

First of all, you forgot a bit of relevant punctuation: "husband"

Secondly, in a just world, the abusive maggot would be beaten into a PVS in Pinellas Cty. and a parade would be held in honor of the assailant.

BETTER NOT JUST DO A PARTIAL AUTOPSY.

The autopsy needs to be extraordinary if these accusations are to be laid to rest. But, the autopsy is already done and there hasn't been time to do much of anything extraordinary. They probably looked at the brain and the heart and not much more. Speculative powers are fed by questions that won't be answered.

Did you read the section where he described the care that Michael provided Terri?

"putting them in hospice for far longer than they're supposed"

Actually Medicare/Medicade will only pay for a number of weeks in Hospice, then the funds are cut off. Thats why Hospice companies usually make very sure that the diagnosis is appropriate. Insurance companies also have limits on the amount of Hospice care they will pay for.

My point was the truth. Presumably you're a lawyer. The original settlement was for 600,00 for MS and about 1.4 million for TS's care. 300,000 was deposited in MS's account and 750,000 for TS's care. Of the 750,000 in TS's account almost a half million of that was spent on attorneys by MS with the courts permission.

Those are the facts, you can take'em or leave'em, I could care less.

Hitler ended the euthanasia program in 1941 due to complaints. Can't be all bad. Could be evil, though, seeing what the next program was.

I do not consider Wolfson a neutral party. I think he felt obligated to hold up the original proceedings. It should be noted, for example that he recommended further tests and said, essentially, "oh well" when "one of the parties" objected.

Under questioning, he revealed "one of the parties" was Felos.

Right on. Cyril likes to talk, but he's the greatest! He's one of the few people in the country that tells the truth about JFK --- because of that, they'll NEVER let him observe in Floriduh. The fix is in.

Btw, that silly investigation of his office in Pittsburgh is a joke! Cyril is honest, and you, CofC have a lot to learn about Cyril.

They nixed the famous Cyril Wecht! He'd get right to the bottom of it, that's the problem.

Yeah, nothing to see here, move along, Michael's innocent and the Schindler's are evil, blah, blah, blah,... (/sarcasm)

How can he get one break after another, get everything to go his way all the time? It's fishy, makes me wonder about the alleged scientology connection.

I don't think Wecht was asked to do anything but view the autopsy to see how the paperwork was filled out and observe how tissue samples were taken, etc.

Why in the world would the Medical Examiner object to such a thing unless the results are already "pre-determined"?

10 Dirty Tricks of Guardians

Pinellas County [FL] Internal Auditor Robert W. Melton recently lectured at Eckerd College in St. Petersburg on:

"Dirty Tricks of Guardianships – The Need for Change."

[just one of the tricks below:]

6) Maintain guardianship at all costs: Keep family members uninformed; if family members try to become guardian, accuse them of stealing; use the ward's assets for legal fights to retain guardianship.

Here's how it goes, if anythings in the autopsy to make MS look bad, he can tell Felos and it gives them time for the cover up. It also gives MS time for an extreme makeover and to relocate. Wasn't Greer on the guardianship too?
Felos could even say "Why I had absolutly no idea that Michael had abused that beautiful dying woman. I would never have taken this case had I known" Greer could say "How dare anyone accuse this court of knowingly being involved in this.
At that point MS is in big trouble...Felos and Greer are out of trouble.
If Greer is on the guardianship papers then he's in control of all the rehab money.

hope these parents sue this bastard for every dime he has..

I would love to see the insurance company sue to get their money back. After all Michael Shiavo sued them for money to provide care and therapy for Terri. He also sued for the loss of consortium. He failed to use the money he won for the purposes that it was granted and as for the loss of consortium he found someone for his bed pretty darn quick.

I worked with a woman who had won money for her brain damaged child. She was required by the courts to provide a yearly accounting of how the money was spent. The insurance company that paid the award money had insisted on this. But, most likely, the insurance company that paid Terri's malpractice award has washed their hands of the matter.
