The interpretation I read implies that the last Pope will destroy the Church. If you're implying that "Peter of Rome" is Jesus, than do you assume that Jesus is part of the Church today?
That can't be, however, since Jesus Himself declared that the Church would not fall before the gates of hell.
I guess it becomes sematical...

How can the Church be destroyed? The Church is the mystically in a fundamental union with Christ.
