To: An Old Marine

Actually I'm proud of my service, but the Marine title means so much to me as an American Patriot. God Bless all who serve.

If you're reading this, thank the United States Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard!

At the age of 26, already married with two daughters, a mortgage and a good job as a Geological Consultant, I was hit with an overwhelming desire to serve my country.

I approached the Army about enlisting. I wanted the infantry and I wanted airborne. Nothing less would do. I wound up being an Infantryman(11C) and a Ranger.

Had the Army Infantry not been in need of my service, I would have joined the Marines.
