The La Repubblica paper in Rome is quoting, of all people, AL JAZEERA who are stating that the Pope has died. I also heard on the all news station in Italian I am streaming right now that Al JAZEERA's report is being picked up and relayed elsewhere, too. I don't know what their source is, al Jazeera of all people. Maybe it is wishful thinking.
