I hope it leads to administering legal principles tempered with mercy. The problem here wasn't Judicial Activism but a Judge who bears more resemblance to a heatless automaton then a human being.
The problem was the laws of the state of Florida, not the judges who followed them. Blame the legislature, and change the law.
