the fact is it went through 19 different trials and I dunno how many appeals ...

Do you think Terri wanted to die? Do you think Terri was incapable of expressing an answer to "Do you want to die?" The only court that took evidence on those two questions was Greer's. The appellate courts never questioned Greer's interpretation of the available evidence.

No, finding of fact was only heard once. All of those 19 trials were heard by one biased judge who selectively applied the law to get his disired outcome, yet legally enough not to be overturned by appeal. He was counting on the Robes to protect their own, and he was right.

And then a Federal appointed judge that blatantly ignored a law, under the guise of interpretation, in order not to hear fact. Lets face it, they denied the Schindler's due process through Judicial discretion. And you are right, the states need impeach. However so does the US Congress. Judge Greer is in line for a wicked "two way".

The 11th Circuit never ruled on the Federal version of Terri's law. They just upheld Whittmore on procedure. Once again, selective application of the law. The Floriduh SC did rule on the State Law, I don't know why or how, but we do know the FSC has a history of creative/selective interpretation of state law. There is room for impeachment there also.

Bottom line, we need to bolster the political will of Congress to protect their validity, and purge the Judiciary. The USSC needs some attention for that crap about reading international precedent into our Constitution.

If this was Judiciary against Joe Sixpack, we'd be screwed. But this is ego's in robes vs. ego in suits. We have a chance.

Respectfully I must disagree with the hug-them-and-love-them-and-they-will-begin-to-see-the-error-of-their-ways approach.
The battle lines are definitely drawn here. Although not a physical war it is definitely a war.
I am not burdened by the ill feelings I carry for what they have done, I am motivated to activism.

What does it matter what I think? I wasn't involved.

Florida law, husband guardian, he says, his call. I think all the stories coming from the family and the last minute christian doctor visitor and any other crap you heard in the last three weeks was just desperation.

Felos watched Terri die

Hope he brought clean clothes....orgasms can be messy.... Not meant to be gross or or crude. This man has an orgasmic thing with death. I believe it in my heart of hearts. And I believe he reached that insane, psychotic climax with the death of Terri that he helped arrange and control.

"Nope. You lost, too bad you can't get over it."

I see. I blew your argument out of the water, so you come back with a less than witty rejoinder.

Gibbs lost the case. The Schindlers lost the case. Terri lost the case and her life. I have lost nothing but respect for the judiciary, and ayone who thinks this ruling had an iota of justice in it.

I suggest you secure yourself a copy of the Constitution and read it. Your understanding of what you fought for is woefully lacking.

*bump* thoughtful and insightful. Don't balme yourself. Some things are driven by highre powers, and the goodwill of any of us is powerless in the face of that.

So the question becomes is there a will in the party to do the heavy lifting to rein in the judiciary and not just by putting in "our guys"?

I think you know the answer to that.

I have a question. Felos said that after Terri had died, he, Michael and Michaels bro was in the room. They stayed with her for awhile and prayed for her. Felos said after leaving the room, the hospice bathed Terri. When my inlaws died, one in a hospice the other in the hospital. They were never bathed after death. We stayed with them for a lengthy period and then they came to take them away to the funeral homes. Is this normal procedure to bathe a body after death? It struck me as odd. Why would they bathe her. It seems to me that if an autopsy is planned wouldn't the ME want her "as is"?

My argument? I haven't one, wasn't there, didn't do it.

In addition to getting over losing you should try to get over yourself.

she did not make her wishes known in an appropriate way

So the monster preferred Death to life and so did the courts. That is disgusting.

Florida law, husband guardian, he says, his call.

It [the law] aims to be a bit more principled than that, actually. It aims to respect self-determination. Terri's wishes. All of the documents reflect a desire to follow the patient's wishes.

I think all the stories coming from the family and the last minute christian doctor visitor and any other crap you heard in the last three weeks was just desperation.

Yeah. I agree. People who are being mugged sound desparate too.

"I think you know the answer to that."

Yeah, but I be neck deep in that river in Egypt...

Seriously I can only find one congresscritter that supports cutting the judiciary funding: Ron Paul. There may be others but they're keeping a low profile.

I will try once more to make my meaning clear because I assure you I am NOT among those that view Christ as a feel good hippie.

Forgiveness and love do not equate to inaction and Lies.

The Truth of what happened must be spoken. This was Murder. The Judiciary ordered the execution of an innocent diabled woman. This must be confronted. We must rein in the Judiciary. We must defeat the seduction of a Culture that preaches it is merciful, euphoric and simply preferable to end Life, rather than understand the value that Life can hold in whatever form it exists.

Confronting the roots of this evil are not at odds with His example on the cross.

We would wash the body after death. I often would brush their hair if it was messy. I used to pray over them quietly and we treated them with dignity. We weren't allow to remove any tubes or anything, we just cut them off so they were shorter.

Sound like you have evidence. Best you present the legal authorities with the information you have. Withholding evidence is a crime.

What sickened me even more was that prior to and at the time of death, Terri's brother was forcefully removed from his sister's bedside while two vulture attorneys, Michael's brother and Michael hovered around her during her last moments. I can not for the life of me believe Terri would have wanted Michael's brother and two attorneys instead of her brother and parents at her bedside.

What is not to understand. Michael Schiavo had to fulfill that which was proclaimed in the CBS Pre-Obituary!
