There doesn't have to be any money involved.
They win, their cause is moved forward, and they're rid of Terri. If Schiavo is Catholic, which I assume he is despite behavior to the contrary, he can marry the common-law wife without an annulment, and he's probably entitled to everything that was Terri's since he didn't divorce her. Wouldn't surprise me if there was a book down the road, or a TV movie. Of course the Schindler's may do the same (book/movie). I have no doubt the Felos scumbag will capitalize on this "success" in every way he can.
A couple of mugs are missing - most notably Felos and Michael Schaivo.
Money doesn't have to be at the bottom of this, but it's the root of all evil. And if what just happened isn't the definition of evil, I don't know what is. Felos is a blatantly crude self-promoter, so you know he's hawking for as many options/offers as possible. Schiavo wouldn't have hired this man if he had an ounce of integrity, so he's defined himself. They're quite a pair. As for the Schindlers, they'll need time to come to terms with what's happened. Years and years of bitter, desperate fighting for their daughter's life, only to see Michael do his worst. And yes, the cold chill that's run down the spine of all the disabled and their caregivers/families as the result of this...undeniable. Easy as pie. We need the money for something else, someone else -- a more productive person. The disabled and ailing suddenly become nonpersons. Draw a straight line from A to B and pull the plug. Liberals will do it asap. No creeping eugenics. It's an avalanche.
