Jeb and Goerge did all that they personally felt was right and within the law for them to do.

You know, I've been trying to be peaceable about this in my heart, but I cannot stand it anymore. Let's read from the Declaration of Independence, shall we?

"When in the Course of human events it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."

THIS NATION IS NOT A NATION FOUNDED UPON AND BOUND BY FALLIBLE HUMAN LAW BUT ON THE INALIENABLE RIGHTS EVERY SINGLE HUMAN BEING IS ENDOWED WITH BY GOD AND ANY TIME A LAW OF GOVERNMENT DENIES THESE RIGHTS IT IS INHERENTLY UNJUST AND WE HAVE AN OBLIGATION TO FIGHT IT!

Our Founding Fathers gave their lives for this principle. What have we done? Sit around and wash our hands of the matter because we believe an intepretation of man-made law prohibits us from doing anything? "The law doesn't allow" is not an excuse Adams, Washington, Hamilton, or John Jay would except.

Where are all the Federalists?

The Declaration is a nice document but the Constitution is the law of the land. - "I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."

I agree. But this case is far worse. In this case the law does allow and oath even requires that the executive stand up to defend Terri:
