There was a bipartisan consensus in favor of saving Terri Schiavo. Unfortunately, the wishes of the legislative majority were overridden by a tyrannical state jurist.

Bull. You had three senators voting in the Senate. Most of them were willing to go along because they wanted to stay on their vacations and they didnt know which way it would cut so they didnt want to go on record. Just over half of the House voted and about 2/3 of them voted for it. So you are talking about a minority who cared enough to come back from their vacation and vote. And for most part only Dem votes were from the black caucus.

Those are three Democrats that-presumably-are not members of the CBC, who voted in favor of the emergency piece of legislation asking Judge Greer to reexamine his prior rulings in this case.
