The unfortunate thing is, euthanasia-with the singular exception of Oregon-is illegal.
There have been people prosecuted-albeit, with mixed results-for carrying out mercy killings with the EXPRESSED consent of the victim.
How a jurist-who is sworn to uphold the law-can legally sanction the premeditated murder of someone who has never consented to this process is beyond me.
