Just remember, "Be still and know that I AM God." He knows all that has gone before; He will not be mocked. This battle was lost, but the war is already won. So we can "rejoice in the Lord, always."
"For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God." Romans 8:38
Actually, the battle wasn't lost if it accomplished God's purposes...take some comfort in that. This battle was the Lord's...He heard us, He knows why, and we trust him. (((HUG))
Amen, nicmarlo.
Father God, we've been telling You that we will give You all the glory, no matter what happens. And as nicmarlo has just reminded us, You are still God (that will never change) and the victory over death that Jesus won for us is for Terri and all of us. We praise You for that!
Terri has not been defeated by death; in fact, death has ushered her into Your presence where You are even now wiping away her tears and filling her with joy and laughter. All her pain is gone and she will never again know fear or frustration. Her body is whole once again, and her brain perfect. What a victory in heaven as she joins all the saints who have gone before and is even now joining them in worshiping and praising You.
And so we praise You also, Lord, for giving us this hope beyond death, and we ask You to comfort her family with this knowledge also.
I pray for Michael and all those who have hardened their hearts to the truth, and ask Lord that You will break through their hardness and bring them to their knees in repentance and horror at what they've been party to, whether in action or simply in agreement.
We pray these things in JESUS' NAME, Amen.
"But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him." (I Thessalonians 4:14-15)
